New Paper: Fisher Information Velocity, a Geometric Channel for Glitch Identification

A new detector-characterization channel that treats the detector’s noise spectrum as a point on a Riemannian manifold and tracks its velocity. Applied to 40 hours of Advanced LIGO O4a data, Fisher information velocity separates energy surges from spectral warps and flags 87% more instrumental anomalies than standard BLRMS monitors, while staying blind to real signals.

New Paper: Gauge Theoretic Signal Processing II, Zero-Latency Whitening for Early Warning

The second GTSP paper takes the minimum-phase connection from theory to production. Through a 15,347-signal O3 injection campaign and deployment in the sgnl matched-filter pipeline, we show that geometrically-exact causal whitening preserves detection sensitivity and timing accuracy while cutting whitening latency by up to 91%.
